Welcome to the
George H. Henderson, Jr. Exposition Center!
This is East Texas’ premiere multipurpose event venue! Located off Loop 287 in the heart of the Pineywoods, we’re conveniently located between Houston, Dallas & Shreveport, and host event sponsors from all around the state.
Situated on 36 acres, we have room for almost any event you can imagine! Whether you’re looking for a championship rodeo, monster trucks, great music or a big top circus, we are the venue that can host it! We’re home to the Texas State Forest Festival, the Angelina County Benefit Rodeo, and dozens of annual events that both entertain our community and continue to stimulate the local area businesses.
As a 501C(3) Non-for-profit organization, it’s our mission to serve the residents of Angelina County and continue to contribute to the growth of its civic ventures.
Main Building
The main building is a 90,000 sq. ft. clear span building containing a 110′ X 255′ arena, permanent seating for 6,950, four sets of restrooms, five concession stands, a special events room, three offices available for tenant use and a 30′ X 40′ announcer stand overlooking the arena. A 24′ X 40′ portable stage is available to seat as many as 10,000 concert style.
Special Events Room
The special events room is an 8,000 sq. ft. glass fronted room located in the main building overlooking the arena. The room is climate controlled and has theater type seating for 180 people. It also has two serving areas and restrooms and is also handicap assessable.
Pavilion
The pavilion is a 62,500 sq. ft. open air building. It has been used to host many events ranging from livestock shows, company picnics, flea markets, boat shows, and company workshops. The building contains a 100’X150′ arena and portable seating for 300 people. The building also contains an animal wash rack, restrooms with showers and a concession stand. The building is capable of housing up to 80 10′ X 10′ portable horse stalls, 200 4′ X 6′ swine pens or tie racks for as many as 250 head of cattle.
Barns
Four 160’x160′ barns offer access to restrooms, an animal wash rack, and up to 96 portable horse stalls in each. These open air structures serve as housing for car shows, food courts, and demonstration areas for livestock.
Other Amenities
- RV Hookups – 52 available with water, 20 and 30 amp service.
- Catering & Concessions – The Expo operates all food and beverage concessions. We have five total available, to ensure your event visitors are well-fed and hydrated!
- Parking – Room for 3,500 vehicles, including overflow parking on both the west and east side grass areas.
- Personnel – Helpful and friendly staff available to assist you with planning your next event!
