Welcome
Located in McCook, Nebraska, this premier indoor heated arena is the largest in Southwest Nebraska. Located near the cross sections of Hwy. 83 running North and South, and Hwy. 6 & 34 running East and West. The Arena is a division of the Red Willow County Fair Grounds.
Available 365 days a year, the Kiplinger Arena has hosted a wide variety of events ranging from: equestrian, rodeo & ag-related events, team penning, roping & barrel racing to RV, Implement, and livestock expos. It is the premier facility for hosting and attending indoor equestrian and ag-related events – any time of the year!

Arena Overview
Dimensions: 140′ x 300′ with 112′ x 250′ Sand/Clay Floor
Seating: 420 Permanent w/ 300 Portable Seats
Big Top: 60′ x 150′ Roof Only – Warm Up Area
Horse Stalls: 100 – 10′ x 10′ (10 inside w/ higher walls for stallions)
Wash Racks: 8 Cement Floor Stations w/ drains
Amenities: Rest Rooms, Indoor, Heated, Office
The Arena and surrounding Fair Grounds are maintained on a regular basis. This ensure that no matter what type of event is scheduled, the Arena floor will be properly prepared. An outdoor exercise area is located very close to the Arena for warm up activities. In addition to the indoor amenities, the Arena also has outside lighting and sound.

The Community Building is available to rent if a meal or meeting area is needed. In addition to the Arena horse stalls, we also offer 50 panel stalls with on-grounds portable panels. Holding pens for calves are located outside the Arena on the East side of the building with access into the Arena through garage doors.
Warm Up Arena
The new 5,000 sq. ft. warm up arena is now open. Located to the east side of the main arena.
Arena Events
Since the Arena opened, there have been a number of successful functions. Some of which included the Rough Stock Rodeo Finals, Rhonda Hilker’s Sunrise Futurity, a hog show, various ag related clinics and shows, barrel racing, and roping events. In addition to all the scheduled events we also have local FFA and 4-H groups who have access to the Arena free of charge!
